Steven Kreuger was born and raised in Wyoming, Michigan where he graduated from Lee High School in 1966. He then attended Central Michigan University where he majored in chemistry and biology and was very active in college varsity sports. After graduating from Central Michigan University with a BS degree, cum laude, in 1970, he attended Wayne State University Law School where he graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1973. From 1973 to 1978, Steve practiced civil litigation with a large litigation firm in Southwestern, Michigan. Steve and Jim Nelson then established their own litigation firm which was located in Grand Rapids until they moved to Hudsonville in August 2000. Steve was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1973, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in 1973, the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit in 1974, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan in 1978. His professional memberships include: The American Bar Association, Grand Rapids Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, and the West Michigan Defense Association. Steve has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of civil litigation on behalf of individuals, companies, insurance companies, self-insured companies and self-insured associations. This litigation experience has included handling products, construction, commercial, auto errors and omissions, and general liability cases, as well as handling insurance coverage and subrogation cases. Steve lives with his wife Lynette in Grand Rapids where he has been active in Boy Scouts and the Catholic Church, as well as coaching Little League baseball, soccer, and basketball teams. His three sons, Jeffrey, Steven, and Daniel have all graduated from college and are pursuing their own individual careers.
